Footnotes
Triumph - Another fall 01 Triumph that explores every possible pocket of type 1 before moving on. The breakdown into Vassilios territory is very smooth, and the uncomposed peak before the drop into the song is fantastic.
Jigsaw Earth - The trance jam begins with a feather light, airy trance theme from Magner, and is pushed forward by an excellent Barber/Sammy cooperation. It builds to an absolutely furious peak before returning to the chase section.
Spaga - Patient atmospheric grooves build to a raging dnb conclusion.
Reactor - The yin to 9/8’s yang. Like that version, this one has two fully fleshed-out themes. The first is a powerful Reactor jam, and the second is a slow-burn to the Ladies ending.
And the Ladies Were the Rest of the Night - A mellow and melancholy trance vehicle that breaks down before rebuilding to the Crickets peak.
Run Like Hell - The mid-verse jam goes unconventionally deep. Brownstein dives almost immediately into dub territory, before the jam heads into sparse trance. It builds to a Shimmy fakeout before returning to Run Like Hell.
